Rolda Mitchell has been the owner/director of Mint Daycare since 1997 and has been caring for children for over 22 years. After moving from Trinidad and Tobago to the United States, she started caring at the age of 19 for local families. Eventually moving onto starting Mint Family Daycare in the basement of her own home. Located directly across from the beautiful Canterbury Park, it became the start of something special for the ever blossoming families of the Montclair community. Together with her husband they welcomed 5 children.

Fast forwarding 20 plus years Mint Family Daycare will now be located at Central Presbyterian Church. The expansion was something that took much preparation and careful planning. Central’s cooperation with Mint Family Daycare has been essential. Rolda and her family have been members of the church for about 20 years. Through careful consideration there has been clarity to bring Mint Family Daycare to a location directly across from the church. The journey to this point has been enduring but is something Rolda, her staff, and the church believe will impact the Montclair community tremendously. We can’t wait to begin.
